OEM pet products — common questions

What is the minimum order quantity for private label pet products?
MOQ starts at 500 pieces per SKU for pet supplies and 2,000-5,000 pieces for pet food. Mixed-SKU cartons are accepted, so a first order can spread the minimum across several references.
What is the lead time from order confirmation to shipment?
Standard production is 45-70 days for pet supplies after artwork approval. New tooling adds 20-35 days. Air freight and express options are available for urgent launches.
Do you offer OEM as well as ODM?
Yes. OEM uses an existing catalogue model with your logo, colours and packaging. ODM develops the product to your specification — materials, dimensions, formula and function. ODM typically requires a design brief and a sample approval round.
Which compliance documents can you supply?
We provide material declarations, test reports from accredited third-party labs and full export documentation in your company name. Destination-market registration (FDA facility registration, EU responsible person, UKCA) stays with the importer of record — we prepare the product and labelling to those rules.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading. Irrevocable L/C at sight is accepted for first orders, and open account can be arranged for repeat buyers.
Which Incoterms do you quote?
We quote EXW, FOB (Ningbo or Shanghai), CIF and DDP. FOB is the default because it keeps duty and import compliance on the buyer side of the border.
Can you ship to Europe, the Middle East and Australia?
Yes. We ship to North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Southeast Asia. Ocean LCL and FCL, China-Europe rail and air freight are all available, and we prepare the export documentation your broker needs.
How do I get a quotation?
Use the quotation form on any product page or the Get a Quote page. Select the products and quantities, choose your trade terms, and submit. Our export team replies with a formal quotation within one business day.

Questions we get that are worth answering out loud

Is the first order riskier than a repeat order? Yes, and the risk is mostly commercial rather than technical. A first order usually carries a mix of references at modest quantities so you can find out what sells. We would rather you tested broadly and reordered narrowly than placed one large guess.

Can you ship DDP to my country? Often, but not everywhere. We can act as importer of record in most markets. Where we cannot, CIF plus your own broker is the standard route.

Will you sign an NDA? Yes. We can put one in place before we discuss your specification in detail, or before a tooling project begins.

Do you supply samples? Yes. Stock models ship by express in three to five days. New tooling runs a pre-production sample first, so you approve the actual production item rather than a hand-finished showroom copy. Sample cost is credited against the first production order.

Send your specification. Get a costed proposal.

Product references, quantities and target market — we come back with MOQ options, tooling cost, packaging and a delivery window, usually within one working day.
